Molasses Grill has made Downtown Halifax a culinary destination. Family owned and operated, The Grill has been doing “farm to fork” long before there was even a name for it. Chef Steve Schopen and his team prepare a wide variety of appetizers, entrees & desserts which fuse the best of Southern traditions and classic fare with creative touches.
Everything is made in house- right down to the bread and ice creams. Because every dish is made to order, Molasses is highly accommodating of dietary restrictions, especially if advance notice is given with the reservation.
Like the menu, Molasses Grill’s ambiance is also a mix of rural and refined- originally built in 1905, the Schopens took on renovations themselves keeping the tin ceilings, exposed brick, and original pine floors.
